That is the sound of your party pilfering our bank accounts (socializing the losses), to pay for their bad investments. In the last twelve months or so, the Federal Reserve Chairman together with the Treasury Secretary (with a wink and a nod from President Bush) have undertaken a massive transfer of taxpayer wealth to corporate investment banks and Chinese/Russian central banks to cover their investment losses. This culminated in the effective doubling of the U.S. National Debt yesterday, with the government seizure of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. It will only end when the U.S. government defaults on the national debt to the ruin of all.

Make no mistake about it, these actions are being coordinated to save the over-leveraged and wealthy captains of the banking industry. Allowing these crooks and liars to stay in power one more minute is tantamount to certain disaster. The Republican party has become the very socializing, Big Government leaders they claim to despise.
History will take a very dim view of George II, but will be even more unkind to the american voter, who has been all but absent from the processes of government for over a quarter century now. If you are in a middle class income bracket or below, and are inclined to vote republican in the upcoming election, you are voting against your own economic interests.
Now it is well known today that many republican voters disregard voting their economic interests because of the party’s ‘moral’ or ‘family’ platform, in which they invoke the moral decay of America and the purity of a bygone era to sway voters to their cause. Regardless of whether you believe they are sincere or not (I do not), the party’s fundamental allegiance to big business and failure to apprehend the seriousness of the current economic calamity makes them wholly unfit to govern.
The place to work for social change and rebuild community values is at home, in our communities, and not in the Federal Government. We will never be successful at legislating morality from Washington D.C.. If we can even hope to have a stable environment from which we can work with our families and neighbors to rebuild cohesive community, we cannot elect another republican administration.

incredible commentary my friend. you belong on the cover of some kind of reading material.

Honestly man, this stuff just writes itself! As a Nation, we should be out in the streets striking until this giveaway of our tax dollars is stopped. Sadly, few people seem to be paying enough attention to see beyond the 15 sec. sound bite on the evening news.
